The mountains, some of which tower steeply out of the sea, are sublime and lovely at the same time. Often the view goes far over the dark blue Aegean Sea over to the coast of Asia Minor where many of the most famous sites of ancient Greece are located.<\/p>\n On S\u00e1mos, culture, swimming, hiking and other sporting activities can be ideally combined. A wonderful day finishes off with an evening in the tavern with S\u00e1mos food and a dry Muscat wine.
